The boat is not going anywhere. That is the point. It sits in the middle of a lake that cannot decide whether it is day or a dream. The water throws back green light and purple. It looks like stars have learned to float. Violet willows lean in from both sides. The light at the end of the canal is the kind that makes you stop walking and just look. Nobody is in the boat.
